Research Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and organized Research Assistant to support our team in the development and implementation of environmental restoration plans. Research Work

  • Assist the Director of Biodiversity & Community Development in developing and implementing restoration plans aimed at enhancing biodiversity.
  • Conduct comprehensive research on best practices in forestry and ecological restoration, compiling findings to guide project strategies.
  • Participate in fieldwork activities, including data collection and analysis, to support environmental restoration projects. 
  • Support community engagement efforts, including educational outreach and involvement in restoration activities, to foster local commitment to environmental conservation.

Administrative Work

  • Provide day-to-day operational support to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), facilitating efficient management and execution of organizational tasks.
  • Manage the process of reimbursements and ensure timely execution of financial operations in coordination with the accounting department.
  • Take responsibility for booking flights and accommodations for team members traveling for project-related work.
  • Assist in coordinating communication and documentation flow with the accountant to maintain financial oversight and compliance.
  • Organize and maintain project documentation, ensuring accessibility and proper record-keeping.
  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and ensure effective communication among team members and with external partners.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Forestry,  or related fields. 
  • With 2-3 years of experience in environmental management, ecological restoration, or related fields
  • Strong research skills with experience in terrestrial and mangrove ecosystems
  • Proficiency  in Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, etc) and other relevant software for data analysis and project management
  • Experience in the environmental sector, especially in biodiversity conservation or restoration projects is highly desirable
  • A keen interest in and eagerness to learn more about nature-based solutions
  • Key desire to join a small team of a fast-growing startup and willingness to creatively solve problems, even outside of main responsibilities
  • Willing to travel in the country and do fieldwork and community engagement
  • Highly organized with a proven ability to effectively manage administrative tasks
